In 1976, when the Organization of Black Airline pilots was founded,
there were about 80 black pilots working for the nation's major and
commuter passenger and freight airlines. That number has grown to 674
today, the organization said.
But that still represents less than 1 percent of the 71,000 pilots working for those airlines... Read more at chron.com
