'Where There's No Vision, Your Business Perishes'

Posted by Bro. Bedford in Untagged

Yes the subject line is drawn from a scriptural reference and the principle is so relevant today I thought I would touch on it.

I heard my Minister one day go into the Hebrew meaning of the passage ‘Where there's no Vision, the People Perish".

And he mentioned how the literal meaning of that phrase means, "When there's an inability to see out of Darkness, the people become Distracted".

We are living in a dark period right now and if we can't develop the ability or the vision to see out of the darkness many of our businesses will not have focus and become ruined and perishable.

The Grim Reaper is Hovering Over America's Largest Companies

Posted by Bro. Bedford in Untagged

The "Unimaginable" and the "Unthinkable is now happening right before our eyes. There is literally a "Deathwatch" of America's largest and iconic companies.

GM IS ON ITS DEATH BED: Earlier this year in my 2009 economic forecast I said that technically a couple of the Automobile companies were already bankrupt. Well just yesterday GM's own auditors revealed an unnamed "material weakness" in the company's accounting -- and warned that there's serious doubt the automaker will survive.

Crisis Deepens-Unemployment Grows-Black Entrepreneurs Must Be Bold!

Posted by Bro. Bedford in Untagged

Back when I was a young child we used to love going to haunted houses. Mainly, because of the adrenaline rush you got from a good scare. But today there are things a lot spookier going on than that strange-looking person in the Freddie Kruger costume.

Today, many Americans are scared to death. Not because of any fake ghouls and goblins, but because of the tremendous impact the economy is having on their current livelihood.

For those filled with the entrepreneurial-spirit... those who aren't scared stiff by the "impending doom" being reported on the news... this time of apparent uncertainty

"The Worst Is Yet To Come"

Posted by Bro. Bedford in Untagged

If you thought 2008 was bad, welcome to 2009 and beyond.

If there was any doubt in your mind that this terrible economic market was going to be here for a long time-the recent events should have erased them all ...

Just yesterday, the Dow Jones fell to new, 6-year lows, crashing through the lows that were made last year during the worst days of the current banking crisis.

The markets are threatening today to reach lows not seen since 1997! Think about this now...This current bear market has wiped out the profits of the last twelve (12) years and guess what-it's just getting started!

2009 Economic Forecast!

Posted by Bro. Bedford in Untagged

In July of 2007 on a Nationally Syndicated interview I warned that trying to invest in Real Estate over the next few years would be like trying to catch ‘falling knives'.

I stated that these falling prices and resulting foreclosures would have a serious impact on mortgage companies and the banks causing serious pain in the economy.

I think it is fair to say that this has occurred and then some. I mention this to say along with my other interviews and writings throughout 2008 that my following forecast is not coming out of a blind vacuum, but we've been on this track for well over 2 years

Economy Eroding Fast: $2.8 Trillion Of Household Wealth Wiped Out!

Posted by Bro. Bedford in Untagged

The story that dominated the headlines and the media last week was whether the Detroit Auto makers should be bailed out or not.

By now you know that the bill did not pass the Senate and now it is up to the President to decide if the auto makers are going to receive a bridge loan from the failing TARP fund, which is the money from the big and historic $700 Billion bailout of the financial institutions.

I'll reserve my comments on this subject for later.

I just wanted to point out that while the automotive bailout was the topic of economic conversation there was some more startling news that

Black Entrepreneurs Must Have Courage!

Posted by Bro. Bedford in Untagged

With the economy tightening and everyone holding on to their pocket books, it appears that the best thing to do would be to sit still and not do anything to get your business going.

This is a big mistake.

Some of the best businesses and products/services are made or created when there is a major shift-taking place in the economy. In tough times people are always looking for a better product, or a more efficient way to get something done.

People are looking for a way to save time, save money, and make money. And if you can offer a product or service that does just that, you can find yourself

'The Missing Knowledge That Stomps Most Black Entrepreneurs'

Posted by Bro. Bedford in Untagged

Maybe I shouldn't use the definite article "The" but the more I interact with entrepreneurs from all over the world I become more convinced that it is the ‘missing knowledge' that kills the dreams and aspirations of many entrepreneurs and would be entrepreneurs.

You want to know what that knowledge is?

It is Marketing!!! And I'm talking about a real knowledge of marketing, not just screaming at people to visit your site and buy your product or service and if they don't they are going to miss the chance of a lifetime and be doomed to the poverty they deserve for not buying from you.
