Latimer Was Born In Chelsea, Massachusetts And Was The Only Black Member Of The Edison Pioneers, An Organization Of Scientists Who Worked With Thomas Edison.
On January 17 1882, U.S. Patent No. 252,386
Was Assigned To Latimer For The Process Of Manufacturing Carbons. The
Process Significantly Improved The Quality Of Carbon Filaments Found In
Electric Lamps.

Medical Researcher And Philanthropist, Doctor Theodore K. Lawless, Was
Born December 6, 1892, In Thibodeaux, Louisiana.
Dr. Lawless Was Known For His Work Related To Syphilis, Leprosy And The Use Of Radium In The Treatment Of Cancer. He Attended Straight College In New Orleans And Talladega College In Alabama. Later He Attended The University Of Kansas Medical School And Northwestern University In Chicago, From Which He Received His MD In 1919. He Completed His Postgraduate Training At The University Of Paris.
