Mychal Bell case to stay in juvenile court

After having a "talk" with Governor Kathleen Blanco LaSalle Parish DA Reed Walters has "decided" not to challenge a ruling that sent the case to juvenile court. It's a decision could lead to a lower bail and Mychal Bell could be free soon. While I am thankful I am wondering what to her so long to "talk " to Reed Walters.
