Kerry L. Haynie, an associate professor of political science at Duke University believes that the overwhelming support that Barack Obama is recieving will start a white backlash which will cost him white votes. He believes that although Barack Obama is trying not to be the "black" president the overwheming support of the African American is making him just that.
