Youth Economic Literacy Movement Based on KRS 1 Seventeen Hip Hop Principles

Mission:

To assist and engage children of all ages in understanding the importance of strong credit and money management skills through musical self-expressions.  With Sound Art, students awaken creativity, discover their talents and become skilled.

 

Goal:

To establishes importance of financial literacy education by creating a fun communication method using Rap Lyrics for our children and their children's children.  Giving our youth the knowledge and the skills will help prevent our existing economic challenges from repeating itself.

2008 Financial Literacy Rap Lyrics Contest for Youth

The search is underway for corporate sponsors willing to assist young people understand the importance of strong credit and money management skills through musical self-expressions.

Sponsors are being sought for a new youth economic literacy contest designed to help teach financial and money management skills to children of all ages.

Young Americans don’t know much about money or credit

On average, high school seniors answered only 57.4% of the financial questions in the survey correctly. That’s up a slightly from the same results two years ago but still terribly low.  And these were not tuft questions.  Only 13.2% said correctly that stocks are likely to offer the highest growth over 18 years of saving for a child’s education. Nearly 45% thought that a U.S. Savings bond would offer the highest return. Youth Financial Literacy Website wins an International Award for Best Website for Youth and Young Ad

 Hilliard, Ohio, USA. November 12, 2007 -- http://SkillsThatClick.com is elated in accepting the Second Annual Black Web Award for the best website for Youth and Young Adults.
