It Should Be Obvious

Posted by TheFamilyInTheCar in Untagged

Brenda Farrar-Ejemai is the author of the book/documentary:            The Family in the Car, a Revelation

In this on-time documentary, she depicts a family surviving on the streets of New York City who were once sheltered and somewhat privileged.  It shows a working class family struggling through the homeless shelters of New York City including: The Bronx, Manhattan, and Brooklyn.

That was over 17 years ago.

Now New York City is planning to charge homeless residents rent to live in their rodent infested dwellings.  This is nothing more than a ploy to get the vulnerable citizens of

MANIC READERS

Interview With Brenda Farrar-Ejemai

Aug 11, 2008

Hi Brenda,

I'm delighted to have this chance to talk with you and review some of your work with you. Please grab a glass or cup of your favorite beverage and sit a spell. Let's talk about your poetry first.

From looking at your website and reading some of the things posted there I would venture to guess that your first love is poetry. In 1994 the poem Experience was published, in 1998 Poetry From The Heart, and now in 2008 Roller Coaster Ride part of your motivational series is out there. Tell us a little

Black Men and White Women, An Epidemic?

Posted by TheFamilyInTheCar in Untagged

This once taboo of a black man seeking and being seen with a white woman is no more.  Not too long ago black men were beaten to death or lynched for this very act.

I don't know if it's due to the election of Barak Obama to the presidency, or everyone now sees racism in this country as dead and buried; but it seems to be a growing trend to see a "brotha" on the arms of a Caucasian woman these days.

Are they trying to say that a black man being seen with a white woman is an honor of some sort?  They walk with their chests sticking out and with a proud stride; as if they're saying "look at me

Life Without Black People

Posted by TheFamilyInTheCar in Untagged

  "LIFE WITHOUT BLACK PEOPLE"

A very humorous and revealing story is told about a group of white people who were fed up with African Americans, so they joined together and wished themselves away.

They passed through a deep dark tunnel and emerged in sort of a twilight zone where there is an
America without black people.

At first these white people breathed a sigh of relief. At last, they said No more crime, drugs, violence and welfare. All of the blacks have gone! Then suddenly, reality set in. The "NEW
AMERICA " is not America at all-only a barren land.

1. There are very few crops that

The Statue of Liberty

Posted by TheFamilyInTheCar in Untagged

It is hard to believe that after my many years of schooling (secondary and post) the following facts about the Statue of Liberty were never taught.

Hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of people including myself have
visited the Statue of Liberty over the years yet I'm unable to find one
person who knows the true history behind the Statue...amazing!

Yes, amazing that so much important Black history (such as this) is hidden from us (Black and White). What makes this even worse is the fact that the current twist on history perpetuates and promotes white supremacy at the expense of Black
