Fine Church Girls is a new Christian internet TV series launched on Easter Sunday. It blurs the lines between reality and fiction, and takes place in a real church with a real clergy family involved in the story lines, which are all entirely scripted. Join Teal, Spencer, Victoria, Blanca and the rest of the cast of Fine Church Girls as they help us to laugh, cry, pray and hope while convincing us through their adventures and misadventures that faith is worth it! I guess I should say right off the top that I didn't actually see the movie. But even if I wanted to, I couldn't have because all three shows were sold out last night. My husband and I went to see Iron Man with Robert Downey, Jr., Terrence Howard and Jeff Bridges. (If you want to read my review of THAT movie, go to: http://www.boomerworld.blogspot.com)
I was never a fan of the HBO Series. I may have seen an episode or two but it didn't appeal to me. Maybe it was because I couldn't identify with the characters and what they were all about. Maybe if they had decided to cast a black

Attorneys for the five remaining defendants facing trial in the racially divisive Jena 6 incident in Louisiana presented evidence Friday of what they said was bias on the part of the judge presiding over the cases and sought his removal.

On Sunday organizers hope to have 20,000 black men marching in St. Louis in an effort to stop the violence in the city. The march wil take place after a weekend of events to bring together people to form ideas to stop the violence. Vivian Malone Jones Became The First African American To Graduate From The University Of Alabama, In Tuscaloosa, On May 30, 1965.

Martin Luther King III and his wife are now the proud parents ofa beautiful little girl, Yolanda Renee King. Yolanda is the great civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr's first grandchild.
