People are waiting in lines for hours for her autograph or just the opportunity to breathe the same air that she does. In one report, a man stated that his wife and children waited in the cold all day to meet Palin. They finally went home. The man, however, stayed. Shaquille O'Neal pulled out his wallet last week and donated money to a family he didn't know.  He paid for the funeral of five-year-old Shaniya Davis who was buried last week after being raped and murdered by a man who was settling a debt owed by the girl's mother.

I am not a fan of most athletes because I, personally, think many of them are selfish and ignorant. How many times have you seen a commercial showing an athlete reading to children or helping out in a community during the hoidays?  These public service announcements are always tagged

For the past couple of weeks, the media and retailers have been promoting "Black Friday." This is the day after Thanksgiving when stores supposedly slash their prices to give customers great deals leading into Christmas.

What I find interesting is that the word "black" is used. Now I understand black is used to indicate financial profits while red reflects financial losses but how many people know that "Black Friday" started out as a negative?  As a journalist, I did some digging and this is what I came up with:
