Christian Women and Sex

Posted by bamgibbs in Untagged

I’m a Christian, a wife, mother, grandmother, baby boomer---and I enjoy sex!  I can just hear someone reading this say “What?!  Yes, I’m a baby boomer woman who enjoys intimacy and I’m not embarrassed to say so.

It’s not a topic I openly discuss because, quite frankly, my fellow, married baby boomer girlfriends aren’t interested in sharing details of what goes on in their bedrooms.  And my girlfriends, who are single, don’t want me to know if they’re committing a sin.  Of course, I would never provide explicit details of my love life but I have no problem letting anyone, who asks, know

Keys to a Good Marriage at Midlife: Prayer

Posted by bamgibbs in Untagged

No doubt about it, life gets hectic.  Sometimes finances, children and other unexpected events demand your attention.  But without prayer, the issues you are experiencing will only become more intense and create more unnecessary burdens.

Tip #6:  Prayer and Meditation

In my opinion, a marriage cannot survive without personal relationship with God.  It is through that fellowship that you will be able to renew your strength and your faith and seek the answers to the problems and questions that may plague you at any given time.

Keys to a Successful Marriage: Tip #5

Tip #5:  Get a Grip on Your Finances

Did you know your upbringing, culture, and gender can influence

Keys to a Successful Marriage: Have a One-Night Stand!

Posted by bamgibbs in Untagged

Once you settle into the routine of married life, romance starts to fall on the priority list.  In many relationships, it’s not intentional---it just happens.  When you’ve worked all day, cooked, cleaned the house, dealt with the children and unexpected problems, you can be pretty worn out by “whoopee time.”

Tip #4:  Have a One Night Stand!

Why?

  • You can have time alone together without distractions.
  • No meals to cook, dishes to clean.
  • Conversations are not interrupted.
  • Intimate moments can be spontaneous.
  • No hurrying home to get the babysitter home on time.
  • Romance comes more naturally.

Keys to a Successful Marriage: Tip #3

Posted by bamgibbs in Untagged

Who’s doing most of the talking in your bedroom?  If you say the “TV”, your marriage probably has some issues.

Tip Number 3:

Communicate in the Bedroom:  As we settle into marriage at midlife, things become routine and that tends to include sex.  Communicating with your spouse is extremely important on all levels---and yes, that includes the bedroom.  If you’re someone who can’t make love without the lights off or you must always be in the bottom position, why not try stepping out of your comfort zone and exploring some new ideas.

Try reading sexy literature to each other in bed.  Take
