Some involved with the designing and construction of the MLK Monument in Washington DC believe that are design of the MLK Statue featured at the monument which now features King standing tall with his arms crossed is now too confrontational??????? In Metairie Louisiana it took less than one week for a black family moving into a predominantly white neighborhood to be greeted by racism. Someone burned the letters KKK into their front yard. Now check this out and trust me I am not making this up. Mind you the following incident happened while the NYPD is under increasing scrutiny for racial profiling.
Two of NY's finest who happen to be white walked up to a SUV that belongs to the NYPD and asked the black man inside to get out an ID himself. After the black man a 3 star chief in the NYPD identified himself one of the two the geniuses decided it would be a great idea to argue with him. NY Post reporter Leonardo Blair who is black is now suing the NYPD. The lawsuit is in response to his being stop and frisked for no valid reason. He believes the NYPD engages in racial profiling.
