Posted by gcuse03champs in Untagged

The jena 6 have gotten new lawyers who are trying to get a new trial stating that Mychal Bell's defense was inadequate, the trial was unfair, and that Bell at age 16 should never have been charged as an adult. Click link to watch CNN video of this story.

Another female rapper headed to prison

Posted by gcuse03champs in Untagged

Is it just me or is it that while everyone is dogging male rappers for representing a thug lifestyle that female rappers are actually living the thug life. Foxy Brown has now been sent to jail for 1 year on a probation violation where she is joining a growing list that already includes Lil Kim and soon Remy Ma. It's funny how the guys get in trouble on misdemeanors things like drug possession, a gun in the car, or not having a car properly insured while the women are getting sent up for felonies including perjury, attempted murder, and assault. Makes you go hmmm don't it? Read more about

Congress to hold hearings on Hip Hop

Posted by gcuse03champs in Untagged

I guess little things like war, crime, gun control, immigration reform and medical care are getting boring because some members of congress have decided to hold hearings on the language, violence, and degradation of women found in SOME rap music, at least the crap that makes the radio anyway. Not saying this is not an important issue just wondering if a congressional hearing is necessary. These hearings will involve record company executives as well as performers. Police Brutality in Yonkers NY

Posted by gcuse03champs in Untagged

Just days after the Federal Justice Dept. announced a probe into police brutality in Yonkers NY the police are accused yet again of police brutality. Eric Brown and his family claim that he was beaten by police, the police say he resisted but Mr. Brown has been in jail for more than 5 days and as of 09/05/07 had not been arraigned. Many believe that is being done to keep the public from seeing the magnitude of his injuries and bruises. Watch the video by clicking the link below and decide for yourself if this man was beaten.
