Innocent man freed after 18 years in prison

Robert McClendon was sentenced to prison in  for a rape of a child he did not commit. He was   convicted although there was no pyhsical evidence tying him to the crime. This man spent 18 years in prison labeled as a child pervert and probably had to fight eveyday to stay alive. Thank God for the Innocence Project taking up his case and finally getting a DNA test done that cleared the man. Read the entire story by clicking the link below:

Clinton advisor wanted to attack Obama's heritage

Mark Penn the top campaign strategist in the failed the Hillary Clinton Campaign wanted to attack Barack Obama's heritage and make it seem as if he were not "American" enough to be President of the United States. He surmised in a memo that since Obama lived part of his life in Hawaii and Indonesia they could paint him as less "American" . Isaac Hayes dead at 65

What a very sad weekend. First we had the passing of Bernie Mac and now today music icon Isaac Hayes has passed. Relatives found Hayes, 65, unconscious in his home next to a still-running treadmill, said Steve Schular, a spokesman for the Shelby County Sheriff's Department. Section 8 moves poor to the suburbs, tension follows

Under the Section 8 federal housing voucher program, thousands of poor, urban and often African-American residents have left hardscrabble neighborhoods in the nation's largest cities and resettled in the suburbs.

My first 5K race

This is a picture of my brother Chris Cook and I after we ran in the Project Children 5K race in Maplewood NJ on 08/07/08.My brothrt  Chris finished the race with a time of 24.35 and George I finished with a time of 29.44. That's me on the left, George Cook

It was our first 5k race and both of us were happy to help out the Project Children Charity which is dedicated to showing Protestant and Catholic kids that they have nothing to fear from each other and much to gain from getting to know each other.

My brother and I were disapointed although not surprised that there were not many african
