In New Hampshire African American children between the ages of 10-17 are three times more likely to be arrested as white ten to seventeen year olds. The problem has gotten to the point that a committee made up of police officers, judges and advocates has begun to dig into the root causes of the disparity. Sgt Joseph Chavalia has been found innocent on charges of negligent homicide and negligent assault in the death of an innocent woman, Tarika Wilson. She and a child were shot during a raid in which police were looking for her boyfriend . She may have made a bad choice in a boyfriend but she didn't deserve to die.
