Make Your Mobile Website an Enjoyable Experience

Have you ever visited a website and had a horrendous experience? You know, something that seemed to be lurking in the pits of hell before appearing on your computer screen.  Imagine having to manually adjust the page as your read because all the words don't fit into your window. Your navigation options are hard to find and even harder to click because they're far too small. Worst of all, the whole experience is slow and clunky because the site is designed for a computer with far more power than your or any other computer has. It goes without saying after a few seconds of this you'd move on

Mobile devices have been growing rapidly and along with them our dictionary. There are a ton of terms being thrown around these days in the mobile space and sometimes it may be a a little confusing to keep up with them. Below are a few terms that are thrown around often along with some additional info and facts.

Smart Phone - Although there is no "official" definition of what makes a "smart phone" (as opposed to a feature phone) but generally speaking it has become expected that they will have the ability to run 3rd party applications.

Mobile Application or Mobile Website?

Should your mobile presence be established by a mobile web site or mobile applications? 


The answer to this is simple.  If you have a website you NEED a mobile version of it as the desktop version of your website does not translate well to the small screen of mobile devices. Think about it, your website is built to be navigated with a mouse and cursor, not fingers. The good news is that it is not usually hard or expensive to establish a mobile website, in fact, many  themes on popular site builders and content management systems such as Wordpress, Drupal and Weebly have mobile
