Oprah Winfrey's party/fundraiser for Barack Obama raised 3 million dollars. The fund raiser was attended by Sidney Poitier, Forest Whitaker, Will Smith, Jamie Foxx, Halle Berry, Chris Rock, and more. James Meredith:
On September 10, 1962, The U.S. Supreme Court Ordered The University Of Mississippi To Admit James. H. Merideth, A 29 Year-Old, Black, Air Force Veteran.
After Graduating High School, Meredith Enlisted In The Air Force. He Served From 1951 to 1960.
He Returned To Mississippi And Enrolled At Jackson State University For Two Years.
When He First Applied For Admission To The University Of Mississippi, His Application Stayed On File For 14 Months, Before The U.S. Supreme Court Ordered The School To Admit Him.
