Just Sayin

Barack Hussein Obama is President-elect of the United States of America. Rejoicing overflows hearts and streets the world over. Change has come to America; it is a bright new day in a shiny new world.

Dictionary.com defines change first as: (v) to make the form, nature, content, future course, etc., of (something) different from what it is or from what it would be if left alone: There is no doubt we have achieved this change. America will most certainly be different under Mr. Obama's leadership than it has been under Mr. Bush's or would be had we elected John McCain. The door is open; what

My name is Ryan E. Poole. I was born in 1971 in Ann Arbor Michigan (GO BLUE :) and I am a 37 year old African American male now living in Huntsville, AL. I lived in Michigan with my mother until I was 10 years old. As part of the first wave of Generation X’ers growing up in the north, I rarely experienced what I call racism. As long as the public is fighting over non-issues then big oil is off the hook and George Bush gets away with murder. Notice how timely the price of gasoline has fallen and the big response to hurricane warnings. The Republicans are dead in the waters in the up coming elections Sarah Palin will not save them and they know it, but when

I'm sure you have heard it many times over and over. You would be in their same tax bracket if you had a dime for every time a Black person said "why won't Oprah, Bill Cosby, Denzel, Bob Johnson, Jay-Z, or any of the other rich celebrities and athletes work together to build or buy-out a company which would in turn create opportunities for the common members of the Black Community"?

It doesn't take a Harvard Grad to figure out that if rich Black people pooled their resources, started or bought-out existing profitable companies, and hired the Black talent that is otherwise languishing

The Democratic National Convention: Referendum on "The Dream" -- Day 4

Barack Obama came out swinging last night, and made his case for the Presidency. He demonstrated a visionary leadership perspective on the challenges that face us as Americans in a global community that hit hard at the alternatives offered by John McCain. He used strong fighting words that set the stage for the final days of this contest. Words that supporters can rally around to garner stronger support for the change that we need in this country.

Obama offered a promise to the grassroots supporters of his candidacy -- a PROMISE to build a BETTER AMERICA for each of us and our children. He
