I want to do pro bono design work for small black-owned business who want it. I know it's a recession and all, but there are places where I'm required to give back.

Confidence, creativity and  consistency are so key in this day and age. In a world where jobs and recessionary living are matters of conscience, small business owners are losing confidence, but there are still people out there (like me) willing to chase their self-employment and entrepreneurial dreams (Hey, IF YOU CAN'T FIND A JOB, MAKE ONE!).

The LA Times recounted a recent poll where small business owners said they aren't too

Some of you use social media with twitter, facebook, youtube, foursquare, podcasts,

I am quite frankly puzzled by the growing (or closing) gaps in testing that we read about among Black students.  It appears to me that someone hoodwinked many Black people into believing that we cannot perform well on tests.  We must teach our students that "life requires you to pass tests every day."

We live in the Information Age, where knowledge is power.  In this fast-paced world, you need to be who you say you are, and you must prove that you know what you say you know.  Let me give you a few examples.

If you want to be a lawyer, you must pass the Bar exam.
If you want to be an accountant
