Life in the Fast Lane -- No more excuses

I am quite frankly puzzled by the growing (or closing) gaps in testing that we read about among Black students.  It appears to me that someone hoodwinked many Black people into believing that we cannot perform well on tests.  We must teach our students that "life requires you to pass tests every day."

We live in the Information Age, where knowledge is power.  In this fast-paced world, you need to be who you say you are, and you must prove that you know what you say you know.  Let me give you a few examples.

If you want to be a lawyer, you must pass the Bar exam.
If you want to be an accountant

Everyone is looking to make money and the internet seems to always have the American Dream Opportunities
but. There is always a catch meaning you have to pay to get into some of these opportunities and get scammed
out of your money.

Well I have ran across a site that seems to be to true to be for real but I am always curious to see what an
opportunity may offer. And it does not cost a dime actual it offers to pay you just by spreading the word

They say curiosity killed the cat well if this one kills me then at least I will die happy... Let me know what

The Education Imperative for the Black Community

Rosa Smith, former superintendent of the Columbus, Ohio, schools, had an epiphany one morning when she read some statistics about U.S. prison population. Some 75% of the prison population, she found, is Latino or African-American, and 80% are functionally illiterate. She felt a new sense of purpose: Her work was no longer about teaching math or science, but about saving lives!

This is the attitude we must adopt if we are to save our children in urban schools, and schools in predominantly Black communities all over this country. There is a call to arms that we must all embrace. Failure is
