| “iZania” is the community of all the descendents of mother Africa . This word is derived from a combination of “Internet” and “Azania”, which means the people of Africa . Azania is a conglomeration of different meanings. "A... in Azania refers to all the peoples of Africa; ...Zan... refers to the earth that provides; and ...ia to mother Africa, the supreme force that binds us all to the continent in a special way – as in TanzaNIA, EthiopIA, KenYA, as well as Nigeria, Liberia, Namibia. Therefore, “iZania” means connecting the people of Africa via the Internet. |
| Why was iZania.com created? |
| iZania's mission is to establish the world's leading Online Community serving the interests of Black people. The goal of this community is to enhance the economic strength of Black-owned businesses by offering members of the Black community the opportunity to consider Black alternatives for their expenditures, and to act in our economic self-interests. |

| iZania, LLC is a 100% Black owned company, founded in 2002 with the vision of creating a Virtual Black Online Community. Our goal is to assist Blacks to do what comes naturally -- find and support others of like heritage and interests while contributing to the overall success of our society. |
| Do I have to pay to be a member of iZania.com? |
| iZania.com offers FREE Memberships to everyone who desires to join our community. We offer enhanced services for additional fees. Those fees are determined by the type of service offered. New services may be added at any time. Some of them will be free services. Others will be fee-based. |
| Can anyone add a business? |
| Yes. Anyone can add a business to the database. Each submission requires a "confirming statement" that the business is 51% or more Black-owned. We follow up with business owners to validate the input. |
| How do I know the companies in the iZaniaOnline Database are Black-owned? |
| All member companies are asked to submit a confirming statement that they are 51% or more Black-owned. The information we receive often is confirmed by multiple sources, such as Government MBE certifications, Chambers of Commerce, and other organizations. We do not audit all member companies beyond the confirming statements from their authorized representatives. |
| How do I list my business in the Links 2 Shops Directory? |
| The iZania Links 2 Shops Directory is a subset of the iZaniaOnline Database. It includes businesses that are engaged in selling products online. | I am traveling abroad soon and would like to patronize Black-owned businesses. Are there any Black-owned businesses listed outside the United States? |
| Currently, our online directory is primarily focused on domestic USA businesses. We have a limited number of International businesses. Anyone can add International businesses FREE. We will expand our coverage to include a stronger focus on International businesses in the future. |
| Does iZania.com guarantee the information in the iZaniaOnline Database? |
| iZania.com makes no guarantees about the information received from registered members. All information is accepted with a statement affirming its accuracy based on the best efforts of the person submitting the information. |
| Is my credit card number safe? |
| Yes. This information is encrypted using the latest 128-bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) 3.0 technology and is sent to an Authorize.Net host server. The server then sends the data through the authorization network to the appropriate card issuer's bank using a secure, proprietary connection. |
| Can I use a credit card with an international billing address? |
| No. We are currently not processing internationl transactions. |
