We are looking for copy writers, free lance journalists and writers to help in providing SEO and key word rich content to a new general interest e-magazine.
The website, myweku.com, is new and is currently under development. The website is due to go online in September/October 2009.
Myweku.com will have as its core readership Africans around the world and will be modelled on ivillage.co.uk, ebony.com and oprah.com.
Statement of Vision of website: To provide Africans in the diaspora and non-Africans with a one stop shop that will inform and showcase African products and services across a whole range of areas. These areas will include music, business, etc.
Online Presence: The model to be used is an advertisement and information based model that will provide users with readily available information. There will be a strong focus on the “community” or forum as we aim to make this as interactive and interesting as possible. In the medium to long term we hope that we will be able to commercialise the site by creating a strong focus on selling products.

Requirements
Copywriters who can demonstrate excellent knowledge in the listed areas and who can write interesting features and articles using the relevant keywords.
We are looking for feature ideas and articles that will appeal to our target audience. Our priority is to populate the site with at least three feature articles per content category i.e. 60 in total) before going live in September/October.
Features with images i.e. photographs and pictures will be greatly appreciated
On average 400 hundred plus words
