Default Reaching One Million -- What's in a Number?

We live in the Information Age. So, we are often overwhelmed with data about every little thing. I grew up in the information technology business, and we were always challenged to help our clients achieve a competitive advantage. The idea is to collect data, perform critical analysis, learn from that analysis to achieve improvement and competitive advantage.

So we have achieved a milestone at iZania -- one million pageviews. There's lots of other data. What's important about this number? It's important because it is a primary indicator about the activity of visitors to our community -- followed closely by visits, unique visits and pageviews per visit.

Total Pageviews: 1,004,723
Total Visits: 218,102
Unique Visitors: 186,967
Pageviews per visit: 4.61

First, we have gained a lot of experiece hosting 218,102 visits. Second, we appreciate each of the 186, 967 visitors who have stayed around for extended visits -- 4.61 pages per visit. Third, with only 6,600 members, one million pageviews provide a lot of exposure to those who contribute to our content -- through forum posts, advertising, articles, blogs, and business listings.

This data begins to come to life in the activity of a small community. There are visitors, merchants, news, dialog, relationships, and economic transactions. Look around at this newsletter. You will see the members and their products for sale, articles contributed, featured members and businesses.

What have we learned? We have learned that each visit is precious. So, we put our best foot forward every day -- searching for quality content, providing current tools, helping others put their best foot forward.

Where are we headed? We hosted 15,000 new visits and 44,000 pageviews last month. And this number is growing monthly. If you have a store at iZania Market, wrote an article, contributed a blog, or updated your profile, you have gained just a little more exposure to others with similar interests who can help you, or whom you can help accomplish their goals. That's what building a community is all about.

The most important thing about this number is that each person can see how they have contributed something to shape this community and make it attractive to others. We thank you for that, and we look forward to our next big milestone. This time, it will be one million visitors. We can do it. You can help!

The data is impressive, how long has it taken to reach this state?

Thanks for asking.

We started our journey in 2004. The growth has been slow and steady, but recently accelerating. There is still some virtue in hard work and persistence.

Our growth depends on our members sharing the news with friends and family and business colleagues.

We look forward to helping you grow your businesses.
