Default SoulFood on Showtime - A Positive View of the Black Family?

I really enjoy the show "Soulfood" on Showtime. They are 1 episode away from ending their last season.

"Soulfood" is definitely not another Cosby Show - this family has lots of issues and problems. But I think the show does a good job of exploring their problems, and in the process letting us get to know people who have a certain realness about them.

I think we need more shows on television that show the complexities of our community - positives & negatives, ups & downs.

This is true we do have a couple of black cable stations that seem to still run the same old shows and not create new ones. but this is a good idea

Since you're discussing Cosby and Black TV you have to check this out. It contains virtually a complete history of Black TV shows on DVD. It's interesting just to read through the shows and when they aired.

Also in most cases you can watch these through like a Blockbuster or Netflix online account, however I like Blockbuster because you can take the DVD back to a Blockbuster store when you are done and trade it in for free for another movie.

On the topic of Black Television I wanted to find out if anyone was watching Lincoln Heights or watched the Boondocks, which is no longer on Cartoon Network but it is on DVD. I have found that we have a few Black Tv Networks and media forums believe it or not. Though our positive content is hard to find its out there.

Check Out Black Film Today:
