A project by the Washington, D.C.-based Center for Women’s Business Research (CWBR) and their academic partner BabsonCollege may help zero in on the challenges endured by women like King. In 1976, when the Organization of Black Airline pilots was founded, there were about 80 black pilots working for the nation's major and commuter passenger and freight airlines. That number has grown to 674 today, the organization said. But that still represents less than 1 percent of the 71,000 pilots working for those airlines...  Read more at chron.com
 
Viacom Named Title Sponsor of 'The Dream Concert' to Honor Martin Luther King, Jr. E-mail

The Washington, DC Martin Luther King, Jr. National Memorial Project Foundation and Viacom, Inc. (NYSE: VIA and VIA.B) today announced that Viacom has been named title sponsor for The Dream Concert, a musical tribute to Dr. King, on September 18, 2007 at Radio City Music Hall. Viacom has pledged $1 million in cash and more than $500,000 in media value to support Dr. King's Memorial on the National Mall in Washington, DC. This brings the Memorial Foundation's total to $82 million of the $100 million needed.
