Over the last three decades, undergraduate enrollment rates for minority students have increased, nearly doubling from 17 to 32 percent. Howard University Drops Down in U.S. News Rankings E-mail

 Howard University, the historically black institution in Washington, D.C., is ranked in 96th position this year in the annual ratings compiled by U.S. News & World Report. A year ago Howard was ranked 88th in this group. Read more at The Journal of Blacks in Higher Education
