Mohamed Ibrahim Asirek, a Darfurian rebel commander, slogged three days from western Sudan through the Sahara and then hitched a ride on the back of a truck to get to the peace talks being held here. NAACP Files Racial Discrimination Lawsuit Against Friendly's E-mail

The NAACP, the Conway, S.C. Branch of the NAACP and a Maryland resident have filed a class action lawsuit against a major family restaurant chain for racially discriminatory practices at one of its Myrtle Beach, S.C. restaurants.

Delegations from Darfur rebel groups, Sudanese government negotiators and international mediators gathered in Sirte, Libya on Saturday for peace talks aimed at ending 4-1/2 years of war in western Sudan.
