I agree that the Supreme Court decision last week was a kick in the gut for those of us who were \"liberated\" by the Brown decision. Liberated to pursue that best education, the best jobs, the best neighborhoods, and the best life we aspired to live.

Your observation -- \"Without legal standing, we now know America never intends to address its racial divide. America has never done anything on a volunteer basis, particularly regarding race.\" -- is a wake up call to those who are taking our progress for granted. The gains are methodically being rolled back.

The unity that ushered in the Civil Rights movement needs to be awakened in right-thinking Black folks who have any concern about the world that their children and grandchildren will face.
