Charles L. Chatmon is a native of Los Angeles, California.  He has written articles for colleges and community newspapers.  In addition to his writing talents, Charles has performed in various spoken word venues in the Southern California area and has read his poems on television and radio. He conducts free writers workshops and currently serves as the executive director of the Los Angeles Black Book Expo.
