I founded Tranquil Elegance by Danyael in September 2003 in Detroit, Michigan. 

 At the time I was doing desktop publishing and website design out of my home office.  I discovered a kit for making your own lip balm and lotion in the craft store.  I tried it and I was hooked.  I began to do research on other items I could make. 

I made up samples of different products and a one page flyer and began to distribute them.  The business really took off.  The products contain all natural ingredients such as shea butter, mango butter and sweet almond oil unless a fragrance oil is added.  All the products are hand made and hand packaged.Customers are able to custom scent their products.

I have made the products out of my home and sold by home parties, my website and word of mouth until recently.  I relocated to Nashville, Tennessee a year ago and recently opened a storefront on June 7, 2008.  The store  features shelf products as well as the customers can still order customized products.  We also offer mini spa services such as facials, hand scrubs, and foot scrubs.
