Any day is a good day for chocolate! 

Owner and operator of La Parisian du Chocolat, Robyn Rice-Foster graduated with honors from the Professional School of Chocolate Arts, “L‘Art Chocolat.” While most of her classmates were creating chocolate truffles with hot peppers and teas, Robyn focused her attention to southern and island desserts and developed her signature line of delightful truffles such as: White Chocolate Apple Pie Spice, Chocolate Sweet Potato Pie, Chocolate Jack Daniel Pecan Pie, and Pina Colada.  

Even as a successful career software test engineer, Robyn has always had a love affair with the culinary arts which began over 30 years ago while assisting her mom make luscious cakes and pies from scratch. Robyn believes the culinary art is a creative art form, and an expression of love. She compares her creations to intimate relationships, “very sensual, sweet, yet bitter, temper-mental, so, so good—yet very, very bad, as well as erotic and unforgiving.”  

In 2001, she started an e-commerce business “The Bread Box by Robyn” which offered gourmet breads, but with the onset of the low carb diet fad in 2004, Robyn turned her passion to chocolates.   

Robyn’s culinary career catapulted in 2004 when she was commissioned by Unilever Cosmetics to create a cookie for a Vera Wang promotion at Marshall Fields’ flagship store on State Street in Chicago in honor of Mother’s Day; followed by another big moment when she served her chocolate pastries at Oprah Winfrey’s Harpo Studio cafeteria. Ms. Winfrey's guests, Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore, Sean Combs, in addition to the Harpo Studio staff were intrigued by Robyn’s treats. 

In October 2007 while on a business trip to the Salon du Chocolat in Paris, France, Robyn became the first U.S. Registered Agent for VinoCacaoâ.  VinoCacaoâ is a unique blend of wine and chocolate, “it’s like having your chocolate and wine all in one glass.” 

When she is not studying to become a sommelier (wine steward) and creating new chocolate delicacies, you can find Robyn testing recipes for Leite's Culinaria, catering for local artists and entertainers, serving her West Coast clientele, and traveling to Europe. 

In March 2009, Robyn will be taking a group of individuals on a 7 day/ 6 nights Chocolate Tour of Paris, France.  Contact Robyn if you are interested in joining her La Parisian du Chocolate ultimate chocolate experience, as they explore the chic chocolate boutiques along the Right and Left banks of the Seine River.  Robyn is always searching for new trends in chocolate; at the end of 2009 Robyn will take a two week journey to Dubai to study Middle Eastern chocolate trends and delicacies.
