| About Me: |
I am a retired vocational school teacher, of the Memphis City School System, in Memphis, Tennessee, of the USA, now living comfortably, in Atlanta, Georgia.
For more than 30 years, I have focused my life`s intentions and agendas around helping Black people create healthier lives of prosperity, rewarding relationships and spiritual awareness.
I have had the opportunity, joy and priviledge to teach, train, instruct, coach and mentor well over 1,000 students.
It has given me the opportunity to learn and understand why so many Black people never achieve their dreams.
I understand that, not every Black person can be or wants to be a nuclear physicist, a business owner or President of the United States, however every Black person must be encouraged to become more educated and prepare themselves for the new opportunities that exist, in this world.
I believe this is the greatest time in all of human history to be alive. There has never been more opportunities and possibilities for the average person to achieve great success in personal and financial life than exist today.
I believe our job is to take full advantage of this wonderful enviroment and become everything we are capable of becoming.
I believe whether you are aware of it or not, you have within you right now, talents and abilities that you have never fully realized.
I believe you have greater inteligence and creativity that you have not yet realized.
I believe you have greater capacity for happiness and joy than you have ever imagined.
According to Carter G. Woodsen, in his wonderful book, THE MISEDUCATION OF THE NEGRO, we have all been miseducated into thinking that we are less than what we actually are. Life is too short to be less than, so we must invest in our education first.
I have learned we are the authors of our own drama. Absolutely everyone, without exception, creates their own reality with the choices they make each day and we become what we think about.
I have learned that most Black people choose not to be rich. In fact, for 90% of the Black population, being rich is too much of a "hassle." So they invent lame sayings that go like, "Money is the root of all evil" or "I'm not interested in money" or "I don't have to worry because I'm still young" or "When I make some money, then I'll worry about my future" or "My husband/wife handles the finances."
I have learned the problem with those statements is they rob the person who chooses to think such lame thoughts of two things; one is time, which is your most precious asset and two is learning.
I have found that just because you have no money is not an excuse not to learn. But a lot of Black people make that pitiful choice everyday.
I have learned our individual powers are in our own choices. Everybody has a choice. The powers of choice lies in the choice of what we do with our time, our money and what we put in our heads and our mouths. That is the power of choices.
I just choose to be healthy and wealthy and I make those choices everyday.
I have learned a long healthy life is the ultimate challenge. Anything is within reach by absolutely anyone because we live in a universe of infinite possible realities.
I have found life is not a race, to the finish, but rather, a process of continual growth. There is nothing that you cannot be, do or have because your life is not a problem to be solved, but an adventure to be enjoyed!
I find it tragic that after 3 hundred years of building America and almost 30 years after the enactment of civil rights, it is incredible that we, as a race of people do not manufacture any of our own products, supply any of our own food, nor control any of our own images.
Furthermore, it is a tragedy that, in the minds of a substantial percentage of the white population, the problems and realities of the Black underclass negates, not only the strivings and accomplishments of the working and the professional classes, but also the glitter and sparkle of the sports and show biz superstars.
I have learned our real true enemy is our own self defeating thoughts, paltry expectations and the false belief that we must live at less than full speed ahead.
We have met the enemy, and...he is us!
I have found just being interested in success is a wonderful quality. Everybody has got to have a dream.
Go back and get your dreams! Its NEVER too late.
I have learned, the richest place on earth is the graveyard where our dreams and potentials are buried deep within us, waiting to be discovered.
I have learned a healthy belief will stand in the face of all challenges in life and your F.E.A.R. false elusions appearing real will eventually evaporate and disappear.
I have learned the only way to find out if the limits under which you have been living are real is to test them.
I have found if you do not test your beliefs, your beliefs will become your ruler and you will become their hostage.
Please go back and get your dreams! Take your passion and make it happen. Its NEVER too late, but the clock is ticking!
