The Million Father March

UniTee Design and Tell Us Detroit are organizing The Detroit 2008 Million Father March, a city-wide campaign that encourages fathers to accompany their child or children to the first day of school. This initiative will be used to increase community / parent / student involvement throughout the school year by working with individuals and groups who are committed to better youth education. This program was founded by Phillip Jackson of The Black Star Project and we’d like to thank his staff and him for allowing us to bring this powerful program to Detroit in our mutual efforts to strengthen student performance. The National Black Graduate Student Association

UniTee Design recently moderated a community involvement workshop at The 20^th Annual National Black Graduate Student Association Conference in Chicago. We’d like to acknowledge and thank NBGSA President, Nameka Bates and her proficient and professional staff for the great job they did in coordinating all aspects of the event. The theme of this year’s conference, “Brilliance in Black”, was very appropriate as the quality of NBGSA members and their commitment to education truly represents what our youth need to see and aspire to be. The “Make Black History Every Day – 365” initiative features daily inspirational quotes, photos, videos, stories and more honoring the rich heritage and the many achievements of African-Americans to educate and inspire children (and adults) every day of the year.
