WANTED - Young, Successful African-Americans to participate in a short written survey for an upcoming book project.
March 2008 --
Author and award winning motivational speaker Brian
McClellan (
www.bamstrong.com) is writing an as yet untitled
book about race and success to be released in 2009.
The book will be an inspirational book, a "love letter to
Black people," that explores the mindset that drives
the success of young, successful Black people in
today's "post-civil rights era." If you meet the criteria
below, we want to hear from you.
- Black - Those surveyed will identify as
African-
American. They will feel the phrase "Black people"
describes them.
- Young - Those surveyed will be in their
40s or
younger.
- Successful - Those surveyed will be
successful.
For this project, we define "successful" as those who
believe themselves to be upwardly mobile in their
careers and lives, those who believe they will be even
more accomplished, more successful "tomorrow"
than they are today.
- Willing to Help - Those surveyed will be
willing to
share their opinions for the benefit of other Blacks
seeking success. We are seeking people willing to
be quoted (at least anonymously) or possibly featured
in the book.
