ImageSpeaking at the graduation exercises of Hampton University over the weekend, President Obama delivered an important message about the role of technology in our lives. He cautioned the soon to be grads: “With iPods and iPads and Xboxes and PlayStations, — none of which I know how to work — information becomes a distraction, a diversion, a form of entertainment, rather than a tool of empowerment, rather than the means of emancipation.” In other words, these students should steer towards being producers of technology, rather than consumers of technology.

White Wealth and Black Debt Shot Up in "Growth" Years
