On June 3, 2008, At 9:00 p.m. (EST), With 2,118 Delegates In Hand, Barack Obama Became The Out-right Democratic Party Nominee For The Office Of President Of The United States.

This Is The First Time In American History That A Black Man Will Lead A Major Political Party In A Bid For The Office Of President Of The United States.

It Should Also Be Noted That On August 28, 2008, Obama Will Give His Acceptance Speech At The Democratic National Convention In Denver, Colorado. This Will Come 45 Years To The Day Of The Historic March On Washington, At Which Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Gave His "I Have A Dream" Speech.
